Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom 10-52 on the ESP Horizon NT-II is the closest off-the-shelf approximation of Kirk Hammett's signature hybrid 10-48 setup — Hammett uses three top strings from a .010 Super Slinky set and three bottom strings from a .048 set, a custom hybrid that Skinny Top Heavy Bottom 10-52 nearly replicates. As Hammett told Ernie Ball's String Theory: "The only strings I've ever found to do that were Ernie Ball's, I mean end of story."
